 My Daughter's 21st Birthday Present
« Thread Started on Nov 6, 2009, 9:33pm »

I was given some rough opal from a fellow deadhead/rockhound because he has emphysema and can't work stone anymore. He saw my work at a show and thought I could do something with it. I had to insist his wife pick out an inlay bracelet of mine in return. He said, "No worries. It all comes back to me. Karma you know..."

So I thought I would pass a little of that Karma to my daughter on her 21st birthday which is today. The opal polished up with some nice fire but I was unable to capture that in the picture but here goes...

Delicate and beautiful, very good as a gift for a young woman. I bet she will love it, especially as a gift in such a special moment of her life.

Very beautiful Rick. Both in the execution and the reason for creating it.

That is a beauty! I can see the fire, what a beautiful elegant setting, and a keepsake she will cherish! Don't forget the booze for her too! Hey only turn 21 once! LOL
