This is the last one, at least for now! A more localized thing! What to do with the remains of all those stone crabs - make necklaces out of them! Just thought you all might get a kick out of the pics since I live here and you'll live in all those nice rocky places. Next time you all are out collecting, think of me, please and really enjoy yourselves! ;D

No, Toad, that is liquid polymer clay. You embed the chips in it then bake it!

Thanks, Toad for the info so far. Any tips, hints or help is always appreciated. Thought I'd throw all the soft stones back in the tumbler on prepolish with some sugar to make it thicker and run for a little while to see if I can smooth them out and polish them again. Will let you know how that works.

Hi donnie,

My first tip is going to be make several posts when you have this much to share. It is hard to keep track of what is what when there is so much to look at and you want answers.
I tried to go down the first list of stones and give you my best guesses.
1. Amazonite
2. Moonstone
3-4 Chrysocola
5-6 Girasol Opal or Quartz w/Mica
7. Can't tell
8. Could be Travertine, not sure
9. Chrysocola w/secondaries
10. Could be several things like Iolite, Lapis Lazuli, Blue Quartz, Sodalite.
11. My guess is pyrite but I can't tell
12-13 At first I wanted to say sponge but I think that is fossilized coral. I will leave that to the fossil experts to answer
14. Quartz
15 First guess is hornblend but that also falls under the category of granite
16. Quartz
17. I would guess this is a quartz with inclusions but it could also be a calcedony (agate) mix.
18-22 More quartz called Hematoid quartz
23-26 Bloodstone or most likely in the fancy bloodstone category
That is where I ran out of thoughts.
Welcome to the board donnie!

I guess when you really like rocks you can kinda see them in other things! I never thought about it like that, but yeah, the colors do kinda resemble mookaite!

I'm not good at identifying rocks, so here's a tip...
When you post multiple pics, number them so it's easy for people to reference in their reply. ;)

Later,
jeri
