Welcome from AZ Like rockbrain said, best to trace the wires from the motor back, using plenty of respect for the electricity. The no touch current sensors are good for the basic check, but a voltmeter will be needed if it's less than obvious. That saw appears to have a separate motor for the feed, does it also stop? If so I would trace from wall plug forward to wherever they split, if the feed keeps running it will be after the split. I lookes at the article that probably got you here and it looks like the saw was made for production cutting. The reverse spin on the saw blade is curious, since no other manufacturer looked at it and copied it I can't call it better, but this saw should be left that way since the vice and everything was designed around it. I have looked at a couple big Raytech saws, but never had one close. AzRockGeek do you have one? catmandewe I'm sure one or 2 have passed through your hands. roy looks like you have a couple of them maybe? i rebuilt two and Tony took them

We have been collecting rocks for years. Have a huge collection, rocks everywhere. Lots of rivers and creeks in Sonoma County plus not far from the ocean here in California. Which makes for easy rock hounding. Always wondered what's inside the rocks when the outside is so pretty. Well now I might find out but I need some help! Recently we purchased a Raytech 18" slab saw at a auction. It had been donated so they had no information. Well it's having a problem staying running, it starts up then shuts down right away. We replace the power relay switch this didn't solve the problem. It also has a micro pressure switch which I have been trying to locate. However not sure if this is our problem. When I did a search for the Raytech 18" saw, I found this forum. I started to realize we have a true gem of a saw. According to @junsil who stated it was like the Roles Royce of saws. I saw quite a few of you also have this saw perhaps you know what the issue could be? Really excited to get it up and running. I have already reached out to Rick Shaw who is out of the office this week. We would really appreciate all your advice and knowledge to help us. Thanks, Randy and Patty do your self a favor and wire around all that stuff

Yes, we did. Thank you and everyone for your help. It's running like a dream. Now to get a new blade. Looks like everyone likes the MK301 or 303. Thanks again!
