You’ve done some great work, Velo! That shine is masterful. And that bot is gorgeous!

Most excellent results on those two, they than meet the standards for a spot in my cabinet. I know you called it Sarape Jasper, it sure looks a lot like old stock Crazy Lace. They must be very close cousins. Good luck with the move and try and pace yourself and dampen some of the stress. Henry

Yes, it was sold by Richardson ranch as serape Jasper, a recent discovery they said. But I agree, it does look a good bit like crazy lace. I got 5 pounds of it and this one was the smallest piece. Yes, it’ll all be over in a couple weeks. I keep reminding myself of that often.

Day 1 of moving. “why are all these small boxes so heavy?” Asked the teenagers helping us move.“They’re full of rocks,” I replied. “Oh…” That was the last question they asked me.

LOL Ugh…I have almost 2000 books out in the storage shed, thanks for reminding me. They’ve been packed since 2012, when I moved from CA to TX. All classic literature. I don’t like books written much after the 60s. Kerouac is modern literature far as I’m concerned. The invention of the modern word processor allowed literature to go to hell. I’ll get the kids helping me move work on that tomorrow. Boy will they be happy

Purple chalcedony… something or other. I’ll have to look it up once settled. I stopped tumbling it early and only did a couple months in course. I didn’t want to lose any of the incredible detail that came out. This is one beautiful rock! I love the backside of this little Bot. I love it when color comes out in our local petrified wood. Finally finished this Jasper-agate the kid and I found at the beginning of the year. These take a long time to tumble but are worth it. All done for a month or so. I’ll be back once we’re settled in our new place.

Nice tumbles Velo! The shine is spectacular!
That "Purple chalcedony… something or other" looks like Agua Nueva to me.
