I bought some Idaho Seam Agate cutting rough from Tony catmandewe from this thread. Unfortunately USPS decided to turn some of the shipment into tumbling rough. Tony was kind enough to replace the broken bits, so I'm now offering the newly tumbling size material up here for a small donation to RTH. I have two small flat rate boxes stuffed overfull. I could only get about 3 pounds into each, but I figure I could both help out RTH and give some pretty rough out to others who have a smaller backlog than I. What's a fair site donation, $15 per box and I cover shipping? Tommy let us know how this can be sent, and the first two people to call dibs each get a box.

For book or for tumbling rough, one could also use USPS Ground Advantage (Cubic) if you provide your own package instead of using the Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box. Depending on the shipping distance, it could be cheaper than the SFRB. On Pirateship, you get a discounted price. Last time I checked, if you ship a 3lb package/box with USPS Ground Advantage Cubic via Pirateship (they have similar commercial discount as Etsy), the charge will be $6.33 from California to New York. Might be slightly slower than USPS SFRB though. I shipped a dozen USPS packages through Pirateship and they all arrived safely. The only UPS package I shipped through Pirateship got lost though (forever in pre-transit stage and I eventually got the shipping label cancelled and refunded).

They offer media mail which in my experience has been much less expensive, takes longer but...

Thanks everyone for the donations. These have been readied for USPS pickup. Thank you for the tip on Pirateship, pebblesky! That was easier than the USPS site and cheaper. I didn't feel like reboxing them so I'll remember the box tip for next time. ronnsrockroundup unfortunately rocks are ineligible to be shipped via media mail - good to know it exists though!

Sound recordings and video recordings, such as CDs and DVDs. Playscripts and manuscripts for books, periodicals, and music."

You might be onto something there. They could identify as media. come on, folks, this isn't funny--it's meanly making fun of a group of people. please stop.
