Look what Jan did with my beautiful pet wood. Made a stinking planter out of it. Hopefully the plants don't live long - then I can reclaim what is rightfully mine.

Try some round up on the plants and you will get your pet wood sooner. Tell her the pet wood raises the soils ph and the plants must have died from it..

I would just run to home depot and get some river rocks. When she isn't around just switch them, she won't know the difference !

Both good ideas. The more interested in rocks she is - the better for me, but this is just going too far.

WARNING! All married rockhounds beware, this could happen to you too. I agree, Roundup!

It's different when you do it yourself. She didn't even ask. Good thing the onyx was too big for her to pic up, or I would have lost that too. I saw her eye-balling it.

Hell, it coulda been worse, she coulda chucked 'em in the trash! I think they look great and if she likes 'em that way, it might mean more "hall passes" for you to go out and look for more......LOL.

Hen and chicks. It actually looked better the day before she tells me. My 3 year old took the hose to it - on the jet setting - and washed most of it out. She had to re-plant it. Way to go, Grant. Won't need the round-up if he keeps doing that. He-he.
Very funny, Don.

Here's a suggestion, take some of the rocks that you have tumbled and collected that you would mind putting in the garden and make a pilar of a rock mosaic, like the wall and fountain that was pictured a few days ago. Tami

Ooooooo that's a really tough call. That one piece with all the color needs to be slabbed. You've got to find a different piece to replace it with. Tim Shame on you getting the little one to do the dirty work. *smile*

I found a large piece of copper ore in arizonia and carried it back in my suitcase it sure was pretty my wife thought so too.in fact she put it in the planter with her favorite ornamental shrub and when the shrub died she was sure I did something untill the man at the nursery said that it was the copper ore that did it Dick b.

There you go Toad, tell your wife the pet wood is going to kill the hens and chicks and you have to get it out of there to save them. Find her some other rocks you "know" are safe for them.

I think her plants would be safer in the neighbor's yard.
