Dude, it is your creation, it is at your whim if it survives the vote, if it is completed, if it is named by them, or you. You can choose, after naming the stone to shatter it and scatter it on the highway, or see how many times it skips, or see if it is put on an ice cream sundae if someone tries to eat it. It is in your hands, you have power, you control the ultimate destiny and final result in its existance. Make a tin foil hat, eat a lot of real spicy foods, do a pound of cheese, get a book of matches, light the methane. You could even put the names on piece of paper and see which ones you can ignite with methane flames seasoned with aged cheddar and pepper sauce. You could hook up a light to the tinfoil hat wear a cape and throw the stone into some innocent bystander's window. Your heart conscience, and desire will let you know. To be honest, you are a decent person, a good stone worker, an artist ad-hoc with work to show. Take the bite, lead the army, mainfest its destiny and have interesting dreams. Perhaps wearing a tinfoil hat under a pyramid while sleeping, connected to a faraday cage with the stone under a black light could inspire. By the way, I am selling a lot of my designs on non calibrated stones. This crowd really enjoys artist's work. I am really excited and I look forward to doing my magic to your polishing. I am thinking of wearing a Fro under my modified tinfoil hat when I deal with the public. MIght be interesting! My emerald was going real great and then a piece of the girdle popped off while I was cutting it. I made a great save, and I think I can maintain the carat weight. All in all it is coming out ok. So Far. Cry havoc, let loose the dogs of War!

That I can do. I would love to show the panel what can be done with wire. I hope it inspires others. Wire wrapping got me out of hating my life and being dependant on the good will of others. With stones like Sands can do, and others who are willing to follow his path, tin foil hat and all, sparking pyramids, barking spiders, waving ,lots of cheese and a fishing hole in the driveway, we can show the world there is more beneath our feet than dirt. The treasures of this planet are not just gold and diamonds. Actually diamonds are boring compared to what I have seen some of us do! We rock!!!

If he doesn't make the hat soon, he will turn into a pathological pedifilic fecalfiliac. Even the barking spiders will run with fear. By the by, that is one step up from pathological pedifilic necrofiliac. Creativity comes from unlikely sources.

Sands, I think you are doing a daggoned decent thing. I think you will get better and better. There are many expressions in this world, The Ferengi saying, no good deed goes unpunished, the oriental expression, keeping nose to grindstone gets flat face. A gift, especially one of the arts, you cannot keep it if you do not give it away. I have found that to be true. I always give my first new design away to someone who cannot afford it. My work has gotten better, and so will yours. It is up to you. If you like finishing the stone, having others have fun naming it, and giving it to the winner. Have at it. I think you harm no one, we have fun, it is all good. Your call. It sure was great to see the piece. You ok. NOw you will need an athletic tinfoil hat. Your head will get bigger and bigge. How about some work in progress photos. I bet some of us might benefit from seeing how it works.

also Cheers, Sands, you are a truly gifted and honorable man.......thanks for keeping us amused, creative and marginally competitive.....(in a good way)..
we are mainly a happy group, it's unfortunate that some people can't share the joy. keep on keeping on, CaboJohn!!

Out of the mouths of babes the truth be it known. I personally would rather walk down the road with someone with a little experience than an expert. Experts sometimes have an attitude! Just like in business, the bottom line is what counts. Your bottom line sure looks good to me.

Way ta go Brett!! John you're quite a guy,,,,,,,, When I was a kid I was giving someone a gift.It was something I had but I can't remember what it was. My mom saw me with it and asked what I was going to do with it so I told her it was a gift. She asked me why I was giving someone a piece of junk like that.I told her that I didn't want it any more because it was broken. It was then that my Mom gave me a big lesson in giving. She told me to never give someone something that I didn't care about. She said that if the gift didn't mean a lot to me it wasn't worth giving. My Mom is gone now but i'll never forget what she taught me about giving.I can't explain the feeling I get when I give someone something that is very dear to me,,,,,,,,, It's a wonderful feeling John and I bet you're feeling it right now!! You're a great guy ,,,, Thanks,,,,,,,,,,, Tom
