Congrats Jackson, beautiful piece! Sands, what you are doing is fun for all. It is incentive for folks to do for themselves. My van did the big one also, the ignition module went south. When we bought the van, the dealer put in a new distributor at our expense. We paid 350$ for a new distributor. When we put in the next engine, the mechanic we hired replaced the "new" distributor. It was 1/2 full of mud and rust. So, the mechanic replaced the old ignition parts in the new distributor. I saw it come out of the box so I knew it was new. The next engine, the second wasn't so great, a junkyard special, was built. She is pretty tricked. 425hp, 22mpg. A real sleeper. .204 X .214 cam, etc. Well, this mechanic, a real engine builder, immaculate, precise, meticulous, did the engine. 365 cu., stroked crank, medium rise manifold, 7 angle valves, port matched, decked, Edelbrock 600 EGR emissions carb. He put the old distributor into the new engine. He also doesn't know carbs. I replaced the ignition guts, stator, pickup, modulator, capacitor, coil, cap, wires, plugs. It ran better but it wasn't right. I went to the carb. Edelbrocks use 1 1/2 turns out on low jets. The mid and high range are replacement rather than adjustable. The low jets were 3-3 1/2 turns out! I am suprised it ran at all. I have just spent two days rebuilding the upper end. Next is roller rockers. Why they were not put in in the first place I do not know. Do you not just love those four wheel things? Should get even better fuel now. Great job on the stone. Make more, it is fun.

Congrats Jackson! You lucky dog you! I have four of Sands freeform cabs and, believe me, pictures don't do them justice! Your eyes will pop out of your head when you see it!
And, YES, YES, YES Sands, we want to do it again. It's kinda like choosing the right lottery numbers - fun, even if ya' don't win.
