Also known as "Royal Aztec" or "Royal Purple Lace" agate, this material is usually seen as very thin seam sections and is from Durango, Mexico. There is another agate, nodular in form and sometimes bearing dendrites that is sold under the names "Aztec Purple" or "Royal Purple" agate. It's not banded and not nearly as nice. Note: The Royal Purple Aztec Lace has fugitive color. Long exposure to sunlight will make it fade.
