For anyone visiting the Gold Country there is an exhibit of the world's largest existing crystallized Gold specimen at the Iron Stone Vineyards near Murphys, California. Murphys is a few miles Northeast of Angels Camp of Jumping frog fame. The specimen was found a few years ago here in the Gold Country. If I remember right it is about 34 lbs. Bob

That's definately the coolest stuff that I've ever seen, and you did some really amazing stuff with it. Thanks for sharing! Ooops- one question.... how much is the slurry worth? ;D

What a delicacy. For me as a geologist this gold in quartz is even more interesting. It is very rare. You know that usually you don't see gold in gold mines. Concentration of gold in ore is commonly around several ppm. That means a couple of grams per ton. And that is a rich ore. Great work, Bob.

Love Gold in Quartz. My wife bought me a ring with Gold in Quartz many years ago. In all that time I have only met one other person with one......MrP
