several months ago , i bought a bunch of very good tumbling equipment & supplies from a local guy whom i met through RTH (vigodits) who mainly worked with glass, for a great price . Anyhow , one item that i have not used yet is a gyroc model b . 3lb barrel model , it actually has 2 barrels & what i think is a piggyback kit . i have only used rotary tumblers so far . so i could could use some advice .... here are 2 pictures ... i plugged it in today . it seemed fine . it has an extra drive belt . barrels seem fine , but the lids are cracked . any recommendation if this unit is worth investing in , to get to use . and where to buy the parts i would need . i don't know much about vibes . except i remember seeing that it is not good to use for coarse grit . thanks for any input !! --paul

mine is running now. You can set the belt on the small or large pulley. depending on the weight, you might find one setting or the other is better movement and/or quieter.
you need ceramic meda with a vibe
brace the feet to keep it from walking around

Good point. I had one of these several years ago, and got tired of chasing it around the shop I built a wooden frame that fit snugly around the feet, and screwed it to the shop floor. Don

From everything I've heard Gy-Roc is the fastest and possibly best vibe on the market. I can send you the official Gyroc (one page) tumbling instructions. You can actually use two piggy backs with that unit for a total of 7.5 lbs.

I've been using a rotary lortone forever and one of my friends is giving me a Model B Gy Roc. I don't think it has an instruction manual but can anyone recommend a good place online to get Grit and polishing compound etc? I've never used a Vibe before. From what I've heard there is less steps and much shorter time. Thanks

Call KingsleyNorth.com for the instruction sheet . They also have most parts for it . Run it in low speed for best results .
