I was running through threads I've missed and there are no words to describe that slab. I have a beautiful slab that snowdog sent me and I ceertainly treasure it.

That is a nice slab snowdog, Those white brust look like Sagenite! There are allot of fine agates that will produce similar fortifcation effects. South America produces some of the oddest. I have cut some of the pyrothredral agates from Brazil, whihc are agates that replaced crystal structures. They are usally triangle, or terminated in shape. flat sides, sharp angles. Also Condor agates commoningly produce square and rectantagle fortifications. I cut some recently that was squared at all four corners.
What location did this come from?
I personally think the inclusions is far more rare and interesting than the fortifaction. BUt it way nice slab either way. just dont cab it! lol

I'm not sure where this really came from as it is out of a store's inventory that went out of business in the 70's---was just in a box that was mainly brazilian so that's what I took it for----I was sort of thinking of the sagenite too---it has a 1/4" band all the way around it in straight lines but only the one spot where it goes down thu the middle in little circles ---and it only showed up in the two slabs ---guess that's what made it so special to me ---it is going to get it's own wood base to be displayed on --no cutting this one up!! ;D
