There was a time when I predominately cut Mexican Fire Opal. For the past 2 years I have mostly cut Fire Agates. Today I decided that it was time to start cutting more Mexican Opal. The first one off the wheels is this 19 x 12.5, 12.2 carat stone. This stone has a little of the matrix on it.
It is rainy today so was at the mercy of artificial light taking this picture. I do much better with sunlight

jakesrocks: Hey Mike. had another visit with Bob on Sunday. He let me off easy again. Just a slab, a cab and a baggie of amethyst crystals for mamma. I let him get away with a 3/4 HP motor and a big hunk of onyx that was too big for my saw.
