Picked up a bag of Bahia agates from The Rock Shed a while back and finally got around to finishing them. Some had interesting crystal centers, some had lots of vugs and pockets that made things a bit difficult, at least a couple were jasper. Thanks for looking.
Some additional shots ... I had mixed a few of the agates up with another load and moved them back into the pile with the other Bahia's.

Very nice! You got a great polish on them! I picked some up too, Been cutting into a few, like you said, some are jasper. Others in my batch are waterline, others have quartz centers and some with chevron shaped banding like the one in center left of first pic. Fun little buggers.
Well ain't this becoming a popular agate ...I ordered some supplies and and saw these and said those are cool ...I ordered some for myself as a birthday present...they should be here on Wed. ...NIce work on those Paul. JOhn

gemologistjohn: I know a bit about this material. I named Jessite and wrote an article on it in 2014, january issue of Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist Magazine. Very little ever came out after that. Kaily Agate was found in the same vein same mine. both my kids names
