Picked up a bag of Bahia agates from The Rock Shed a while back and finally got around to finishing them. Some had interesting crystal centers, some had lots of vugs and pockets that made things a bit difficult, at least a couple were jasper. Thanks for looking.
Some additional shots ... I had mixed a few of the agates up with another load and moved them back into the pile with the other Bahia's.

Very nice! You got a great polish on them! I picked some up too, Been cutting into a few, like you said, some are jasper. Others in my batch are waterline, others have quartz centers and some with chevron shaped banding like the one in center left of first pic. Fun little buggers.
Well ain't this becoming a popular agate ...I ordered some supplies and and saw these and said those are cool ...I ordered some for myself as a birthday present...they should be here on Wed. ...NIce work on those Paul. JOhn

150FromFundy: One more question ... If you are a confessed rock hound, are you a hunter, or a gatherer? Maybe we need an anthropologist on board to answer the tough questions.

drocknut: Both Jean. Also both hunter and gatherer.

jakesrocks: Neither hoarding nor genetic Jean. Rocks are fossilized rabbits, and just seem to multiply just like live rabbits. (Ever wonder what all of those little chips in the bottom of a box of rocks were)?
