One of my customers from Australia got in touch with me and said she was in the US on vacation and wanted to hook up with me. Turns out she was staying with friends about 25 miles from my house. So I drove to pick her up and we had a great time talking rocks(it took me about 4 hours before I could understand her!) and she wanted to try her hand at making a cab. This is Mandy at the machine. This her first cab. Green Forest Fire Plume Then she did these. Shattuckite Seraphenite She ended up spending 4 days at my house, it was really nice meeting one of my Australian customers, and now I've got her hooked!

She did catch on fast. She watched me make one cab and then she wanted to try it. The only thing I did on her cabs was the polish on the leather belt. She said she has a glass machine at home(an Inland) so she's going to try that when I send her a box of rocks!

Ed, now we know you are also as great at teaching as cabbing. What is so hard to understand about an OZ accent? Hell, it is half American! OK, I will admit to a wee bit of bias......having lived in OZ, Scotland, South Africa, Canada, and New Zealand. Challenging, for me, is the good old southern accents. Wife, and I watched a new television show GHC or something like it tonight. I have no idea what was being said. I was only able to pick up every 14th word. Woody

I have to agree with you Woody, Southern accents are the worst to understand. When we had our first WWR Blitz, member RockyRaccoon(Kim) was there and she is from Mississippi. She sounds nothing like her typing! But I find it amazing that people can be the same, no matter what part of the world they're from.
