Some of what I bring home just doesn't cut it for lapidary.
I AM going to landscape my yard with it!
Don, don't you have customers to attend to? Stop thinking about rocks!

Lynn that is awesome! It sort of kills me though...my wife and I vacationed in Cedar City for a week a number of years ago. At the time, I had not ressurected the hobby as we were still relatively "newlyweds". Looking back and seeing your photos ... dang! I wish I had the foresight to stop and look around.
Thanks for the great photos and for taking us along virtually! Paul

I was passing through Cedar City in the summer of 2004. Gem Trails of Utah told me to look for agate in the Fiddlers Canyon neighborhood. 2 years later we decided to leave Calif. after living there our whole lives. We now live in the Fiddlers Canyon neighborhood. The agate called to me & I responded!

Fossilman, last summer we didn't even break 100 degrees. You must be thinking of St. George, an hour south. They're 15 degrees hotter.

Reminds me a lot of the area I collected at on the other side of Brian Head Mt. near Panguitch. The road there has tons of agate too.

I was in that area a couple of years ago, but missed this and Brian Head. I want to go back!
Thanks for the photos, Lynn! Landscaping is a great idea for fractured agate.

If it's not too brash to ask, where is this lovely spot? My dad and I drove around the north east part of Cedar, above the water tower and couldn't find anything.
