Although I've wrapped a few stones already, I'd never tried one Randy's way. I would normally start with the bail, then finish with all the wires at the bottom. This is one I did yesterday for my sister-in-law's birthday: The stone I picked up as a slabette at another rock club's parking lot sale, it may be chrysoprase? It almost looks like it was dyed? I used the same gauges of wire, but in sterling silver. I cut the wires to ten inches as stated in the tutorial, didn't give it much thought. Whoops, I guess my stone was a bit larger than 18 x 25mm! So the downside was I didn't have enough wire to make the double loops at the top. The upside was, I'm not good at making "flowing" loops anyway - lol! So I just put a couple beads on it, brought the three strands across the front, and finished per the tut. I think it came out quite well. Thanks, Randy, for all the time you put into that. It is very easy to understand. Jean

Thank you for the kind comments! Coming from you guys, it really means a lot! I already have a lot of stones ready for wrap, I've just got to get down to it. Will get more posted as I do! Jean

Thank you all for your comments, especially Bikerrandy! High praise coming from you, the master wrapper. And it was all possible due to your tutorial. The pupil bows before the teacher... Jean

Oh yeah. lol..... I just wrote the tut, not everyone has the knack for doing this, even if you're sitting beside them. (I know this, I teach wrapping classes too) and you'd be surprised at how many people can't even straighten the wire in the slightest, or do a binding that resembles nothing less than a coil spring on a Camaro. You've definitely got the knack and the beads are a nice touch too. Now that you have the steps down, keep doing them. If you have the time, do three a day for a week. By the end of the week there's not much thinking involved, it becomes natural.

That is a beautiful wrap. You did a great job. I like how you matched the beads with the cab. As Randy said, "you've got the knack".
