My screen name has two meanings. First, my brother refers to me as his earthdog brother on his show because I like to hunt, fish and want to live like Jeremiah Johnson. The other meaning I found out later is that Jack Russell Terriers have the nickname, "earthdog" along with a few other terriers for the ability to hunt underground, hence the name "earthdog" Since I really like Jacj Russells, I guess the name stuck.

Mine has to do with my faith and came from Luke 6:47-49
"I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete."

Well, when I was a kid I used to love Touché Turtle because he fences with a sword. You see, I'm a fencer too, have been since I was 11, and there weren't many sword-wielding characters about back then, so he's always been my hero! all I need now is Dum Dum. ;D Touché Away!......

My job and one of my great passions is being a high school youth pastor. Our youth ministry is called "one80". It's all about having your life turned around. (think 180 degrees) And my name is...Mike one80mike is the name I use on our youth ministry's website, so i thought I'd be enviromentally conscious and reuse and recycle.

Hmm. Started using this as my E-Bay name as I was 52 and starting to sell off my collection of antique blades and when I was an avid fencer, I prefered the Hungarian Sabre (saber) over the foil or epee as my favorite weapon. The sabre just felt more Three Musketeery and flamboyant plus you get to hit folks over the head which is too much fun....mel

I use rotary tumblers, so rollingstone seemed pretty straightforward. I recall being surprised that it wasn't already taken, although I think there were only about 200 members when I joined the board. -Don

I read this thread before signing up, so I knew I had to have a cool screen name. Usualy I go by my real name, or some variation of it, so this is how I reasoned: My real name, Björn (Bjorn) means Bear in swedish. Maybe BearRock? nah to obvious, so considering I haven't even got my tumbler yet and i'm a complete newbie, "Bare Rock" - barerock. I've written a short intro on the "visitors and members" subforum.

Kinda funny - Toucheturtle's post is at the top of this page, and the G**gle ads up top are for Low priced swords, the fencing channel on tv, and rapier fencing boots. Rich
