Fish & Bill - I'll try and get up there at the same time, maybe we can meet up. I like your philosophy, what's another bucket of rocks? Dee - I'll sniff around there ... I'm sure something will be SCREAMING your name

Life without soccer - think you can cope? I think you need to get you butt out there, and get some rocks. Who knows what you'll find?

Jean, did you see my truck coming home from Tim's? I have enough sphere material to last a year if I have my own saw and supergrinder. I dont! I have 10 years worth!
I am going to convert my steel cutoff saw into an oil cooled diamond chop saw. If I stay home I can fabricate a stand for my chop saw.

Paul, What's another bucket of rocks? About 47 dollars. See y'all Saturday!

Scott, that is totally besides the point. It doesn't matter if you have enough rock, you always need more, more - just one more rock, one more bucket... And acquiring more rocks is not what the shows and sales are all about. They are about the camaraderie, communing with others that have the same affliction - rocks in the head!
You can, but will you? Me, personally, I will be spending Saturday at our rock club's annual picnic and silent auction, eating wonderful food, fishing for 3 lb bass in the private lake, enjoying savoring some cuba libres. Life is good! (Until Sunday, when I have to start replacing the front brakes on the Ranger - ugh!)

Yeah, I will. Bought the angle iron today. I need to make Tim proud. He gave me so many rocks I have to start cutting them! Seems like I need to go at least for an hour to meet Bill, Paul, Susan and whomever else. Sheesh. I can ever get anything done. Jean, you are a bad influence.

By the way, Scott, don't buy any howlite. We've got some small pieces and a few complete nodules around here from several trips up to Tick Canyon. If you want a few pieces, let me know. I'll dig them out of the garage. They're not large as the place has been picked over but you're welcome.

Nothing that large left up in Tick Canyon and yes, the dumps are still open. Most of what we've been able to find have been smaller pieces (one to three inches) and small complete nodules. More like specimen pieces than workable rough. I'll bring it along for you.

Thanks Dan, I am planning on it now. Prolly get there at 9 and stay an hour or so. I do not plan to buy rocks, unless they take my good looks and charming demeanor as payment!

I do not plan to buy rocks Scott, that's what I said when we went to the estate sale we met fish at! In fact, I didn't even bring any buckets. How was I to know that they were going to be giving all the rough away for FREE?!!? You'll have fun, you know it. You can make the stand on Father's day, LOL! Or maybe next week... Jean

Back to the office selling a kitchen. I got to meet Paul and BillG. Also had a chance to re-connect with Fish. Sorry I missed you Susan. Jean, I did not buy any rocks. Came home with empty truck.

Great finally meeting you in person, Scott! It was great to chat with you, Bill, and Fish. Susan, where were you???
I bought a small selection of slabs, mostly stuff for some of the kids in our Bible Study group that are into rocks. A few for myself, Andrew and Nathaniel. Dee, package on the way for you as well.
I could not believe the self-restraint Scott exercised. It was impressive. I partially filled my bucket, paid for it and put it in my car and then came back to wait for Scott and the others. Then promptly filled my hands with additional materials! HA!
Great sale! Rockhounds are a great bunch. Some of the folks from the club helped me pick out stuff for the kids as well! Thanks!
Paul
