I finished some dendritic agate cabs recently, I have 4 more preforms to finish. I really like this material, let me know what you think. Also, is this too many photos for 1 thread? Rich Cab 1 w/ distracting background: Cab 1 in fat hand: Cab 2 w/ distracting background: Cab 2 in fat hand: Cab 3 w/ distracting background, I forgot to retake this one: Cab 4: Cab 4 Flipped:

Great material and nice cutting. Choice of image backgrounds always comes down to personal taste. Mine is for neutral and somewhat contrasting colors that aren't "busy." Let the cab be the star, not the background. Rick

Looks like you match all your cabs to that background rock, don't you? It's strange, but the cabs look better with this background than pictured in hand. Very good looking cabs, the first one with its tree pattern is my favorite. Adrian

My 2 cents worth on the background is that I prefer solid backgrounds, or the hand is ok too. Lot's of people take them on rocks but I find that to often be distracting. Very nice cabs!!

Gorgeous dendrites!!! I typically photograph in my hand just because I'm lazy so I can't offer advice on the best background, lol

Love them all, but that last one is tops. It has really great depth.

Wonderful work on a wonderful stone... and while the background may be distracting, it's beautiful too.

Thanks again for all the comments & advice. Beef, I bought it off ebay in a large group of slabs, so I don't know a name or location unfortunately.
