Other then myself I've only had 2 others who used my 6" Genie. One was a friend from Australia who had a lot of experience on SC wheels and wanted to try diamond wheels. He fell in love with the diamond wheels but lapidary equipment in Australia s very expensive so I think he opted for an All-In-One unit with diamond discs. The other person was a woman I was teaching to cab and she was so gentle with the wheels that I had to tell her to push harder! LOL It's hard to get it through a newbies head that they HAVE to remove all the previous scratches as they progress through the different wheels. They get impatient so I "paint" the cab with a big Sharpie so they can see where they miss. This seemed to work very well with the woman combined with using the magnifying glass that's on the Genie. She was doing much better then I had anticipated but she stopped coming. Good luck with your apprentice. connrock

One of his problems is turning cabs into useless "buttons" that are so thin they are useless. In order to compensate for that, he moves to the less aggressive soft wheels to quickly and just destroys them. I have silver work to turn out, so after getting him started I have to work at the bench and that's when the damage happens. I have taken off the cabbing unit and having him observe the silver work and then try a simple wire ring. Still not sure he is going to make the grade
