Awesome advice! I have some questions about wood glue. It seems really easy. My biggest concern is damaging or ruining a new blade. Does the wood need to closely match the surface area of the stone being cut? Do you follow the glue curing instructions for gluing wood? I think the wood glue allows the best orientation for my bruneau jasper. You guys rock. I'm' up to $1400' toward new 16" saw. Getting close. Can't wait!

I always glue a clean cut surface on the rock to a clean cut surface on the wood, so yes, definitely matching surfaces. I also clamp, but just tight enough to make sure nothing moves when curing. If you are going to glue to a surface that isn't flat you will want to use a gap filling adhesive, I have no suggestions for that. I let my rocks to glue pile up till the bucket has a pretty good bunch in it, all degreased. I then clean the bonding surfaces of the rocks with alcohol and glue them all up. The shortest wait between gluing and cutting for me so far is a little over 2 days, but they may sit around for weeks before I get to them.
