Hey everyone I need your experiences on good online shops for tumbling supplies. I need grits mostly maybe some other lapidary stuff will catch my eye. I have been tumbling for a few years, but have just started wrapping..... not well but.

theRockShed is my favorite Ditto here, there are stores that sometimes have an item cheaper, but therockshed consistently does a great job on price and service.

I found 80 grit cheaper at Kingsley North. I'm not sure if it's still on sale though.

something else i meant to add is that it strikes me as important to buy from a reputable dealer regardless of savings. i have, on occasion, seen people selling some bulk amount of grit on craigslist and while it may be personal inventory reduction, i gather it could be hard to ensure the grit # is in fact as stated and, further, isn't contaminated.

"Best" source depends on quantity ordered. Rockshed and Kingsley both have great prices and service. I don't want to deal in big quantities but have good prices in small lots (5 lbs. or less comparable to Kingsley). Kingsley has a full time employee that does nothing but package grit so they sell a lot of grit. They sometimes have great prices with shipping on 50 lb. lots. If you want 50 lb. lots check "abrasives" on a search for industrial abrasives dealers. Silicon carbide from a reputable source is pretty much all the same. If you can find a source within driving distance you can save a lot on shipping.

Yes I need to echo the props to jsgems and lapidary as well. I've bought my genie, pads, saw blades and polish from John and he always does a great job.

I've ordered rough from both The Rock Shed and recently last week from Kinsley North. Been happily surprised weigh both ecommerce. Here is a 5# Australian Mook and 5# Red Zebra Jasper from Mexico. Sent from my SPH-D710 using proboards

Hi Both the rock shed and Kingsley ship to Canada but because we buy heavy items shipping is crazy. We don't have a flat rate system like our friends from the USA and as a consequence Canada Post kills us. (soon to be bankrupt CP). So that means we need to find Canuck suppliers that are reasonable. I have dealt with several and have been happy but one stands out and that is GoldN'treasures beadazzled.ca/ out off Creston BC. (formerly Beadazzled). I have bought many many dollars worth of items from Kevin and Sandy, they are great people and I actually met them in person. Kevin is 10 minutes from The US border and can broker the items across the border himself. We will never be able to get supplies as inexpensive as our American friends but this is about the best I can find. Shipping items up to 100 Lbs on greyhound is pretty reasonable (I am in SK). His web site is quite frankly not good as his webmaster passed away so just call him toll free and get prices. If you can plan a trip to SD for a holiday hit the rocks shed for supplies, I dropped $1000 with them but have supplies for years. Kevin is still my number one supplier tho, give him a call and tell him Tom from Prince Albert sent you, talk to him and then make your oun decision. Again top notch honest Canadian store. Numbers are on website
