that's great! I love to see local rocks all polished...such color, and so many are so shiny. what sort of tumbling setup do you have?

Thanks! The rocks may not have a pedigree, but they come out pretty cool anyway.
I have a Lortone double barrel (6# each), and a Thumler vibe. I'm basically a lazy person who will pay to not have to worry about cleaning out barrels thoroughly, thus a barrel for each grit. Great fun, but now I have to figure out something productive to do with all the shiny rocks.

Looks like you got a good shine on those. It's awesome when everything comes out like you want it ...
Your Christmas agate looks like some sea jasper I've got. Came from the Rockshed. Got mine for a birthday present.

Heh, I just got a vibe tumbler and am facing the same problem... what to do with shiny rocks... thinking about learning to slab, cab and polish... then.... they are still shiny rocks.... jewelry or arts and crafts seems to be in my future. Bet yours look the same. I know a guy who has an aquarium full of shiny rocks, and he gives his less than favorites away. I guess some folks sell or trade their finished rocks for more rough Which way are you leaning? Its all good fun!

I have to come up with a craft that'll make a little money. This area is quite touristy, especially in summer. I'm thinking beach themed resin paper weights or key chains, something like that. Lots of boats (yachts actually), so I'd like to incorporate things like sailor's knots. Lots of ideas, little follow through at the moment!
