How do you know it's prehnite? I know that there's some nice prehnite in Michigan's U.P., but I'm not sure how to identify it. Some of it is called Michigan Thompsonite, and has nice eyes, so I know how to identify that, but not the crystal form.

I'm pretty sure that prehnite and quartz are different minerals, but I could be wrong. Here is a page about U.P. thompsonite that is actually prehnite.

It's a very pale green, but is green. Camera didn't catch the color as much as real life. I have another specimin from here in ct and both have that botryoidal look I guess I'd call it? And the fractures have what looks like bicycle spokes radiating from center of the botroids. Here's my other specimin:

No prob jugglerguy, I told him if he goes back to keep an eye out for more. He says he found it in the gravel they were laying back over the area. On another job site he's found amethyst mixed into the gravel and brought home handfuls of it. Don't feel bad about being jealous snowmom, I am too lol only stuff I find when I go out hounding is a couple varieties of quartz and granite...lots and lots of granite
