These are a few dinosaur bone cabs I cabbed today. I love working with bone for some reason that I still can't quite figure out lol. I think it is the wonder I still fell when I think about prehistoric animals..or maybe that I am slowly becoming one myself These three cabs are from the same slab. Cab 1 Cab 2 Cab 3 This is a piece of Cherry Creek Jasper. I loved the pattern on each side so I shallow domed both sides. The original slab was 4mm thich and the finished cab is 3mm. Thanks for looking! Roger

I like cabbing dino bone also. Anything brecciated filled with agate. Very nice shapes on the cabs.

Dino still blows my mind. So hard to think it was once part of a living breathing creature. And so beautiful in that slightly eerie way that dinosaurs fascinate the imagination. The Cherry Creek jasper always reminds me of Japanese prints.. maybe the color, maybe those lines resembling branches. lovely stuff, and that is a particularly lovely cab!

Neat! I love how the cells often stand out in relief on a polished dino cab....Mel

Yea the relief adds to the texture in a special way. those would have to go in my personal stash.

Another Dino bone lover here.
If I could just die a normal peaceful death and have my bones develop into something so fascinating, and someone came along and was so taken with my bones that they made cabs out of them--- I would really like that!!

Nice ones, Roger! I really like the shape of that last dino bone & how the cells in it flow upward with the shape of the cab!
