Finally got around to taking pics of the pieces I picked up on my vacation. 2 quartz geodes (if anyone knows anything about these I'm interested in any info) think I got a good deal on them. I did a quick qoogle shopping search for similar and paid less than online so I'm happy about that and I definitely can't get them at my local shop, second score is fossil turtle shell, someone here posted pics of some and I was looking on ebay to get some but didn't have the money at the time, they had a whole bin full for $5 each so ended up paying less than online for these too. Overall I'm more than pleased. Thanks for looking First geode: (I'm a sucker for quartz lol) Second geode: The cavities on this one have a couple points with red streaks on their edges, anyone know if there is a name for this feature? And last but not least, fossils:

Laura and I spent few nights camping around Bar Harbour and Acadia National Park. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of rock shops and left a few tourist dollars with the various merchants. It looks like you may have stumbled on the Rock and Art Shop. Unfortunately, I didn't find any deals on the famous Maine tourmaline although we dis see some nice pendants of watermelon for $11K. Needless to say, they are still in the display case.
Nice finds.
Darryl.

Yup that's the one I got these from. I couldn't believe how pricey the tourmaline was, came home and bought green in quartz matrix at my local rock shop. The dolphin stone was a good price up there but it was already fashioned into jewelry which isn't what I am looking for. The few slabs I saw weren't cheap.
