I'm just curious to find out what happens to your tumbled rocks, fossils, artifacts? Do you display(in a case, on a shelf,in a vase), sell, make creative creations, jewelry, decorations(I.e. epoxy paperweights, epoxy coasters, odds and ends, tabletops, mosaics), store them, give them away, sleep on them? It will be interesting to see what everyone does with finds and hardwork.
I've made a couple wrapped pendants for necklaces an keep the few tumbled rocks I have in flower vases/mason jars and display a couple large uncut agate in my bearded dragon enclosures.
I apologize if this is a repeat thread. I'm sure its a topic that has been asked more than a couple times. Its just something I thought would be a fun discussion topic.

All my tumbles goes in a "Treasure Chest" that I put out at all my shows for all the kids "young and old" to pick one out of. I go thru a LOT of tumbles! While the kids are digging in the chest I tell the adults to come on in!

Good question. I think my loto has been running 24-7 for almost two years now so that's 250-300 pounds of finished product. Every time a batch finishes I will pick about 10 of my favorites and put them in a wicker basket that is on a table in the family room the rest go in our show bins for sales. That wicker basket now has about 35-40 pounds of my best tumbles. Various glass dishes and vases hold a bunch more. When my kids have batches finished they both have plastic totes with dividers that they store there favorites in. I do sell a whole lot of tumbles too. At shows our tumbles get way more attention then the cabochons, wire wraps etc .... Here's a pictures of some Chuck

Wow this makes me really stop and think ......... . Where the heck has all my stones gone lol!! Oh ya I filled all my flower pots , poured crown bags out in front of kids and watch them vanish , give them to friends to fill whatever with then there is grandmas garden ohhh ok there's where they went . Then theres a select few I keep for me . Think im gonna start a new garden just of tumbled next to the rough garden he he a before and after view . Other then I got little neighborhood shoppers that visit my rough pile while im at work so could imagine the tumbled garden .... Guess I could buy a moo moo and some hair curlers and a rollin pin and get serious on them

The only tumbled rocks on display are in this dish in the living room. They get changed from time to time as I take out new batches that I like. The rest go under my son's bed:

Hmmm... I started liking comments in this thread, then realized I was going to end up liking them all lol.
Nice to see people sharing what they put so much effort into making, both within the familly and out side. I just started so my stock isn't nearly as vast as these. If the stones come out really nice I try to drill holes in them to make pendants, some I feel drawn to and end up on my shelf with some of the other rocks I've collected (probably going to go the vase route once I a mass enough), the ones that came out nice but not great I'm still debating what to do with. Contemplating the feasibility of making leather medicine bags. Big enough for one of the stones, dried herbs and room for a personal item. Still working out the kinks in that plan tho.

It's very interesting to see what everybody is doing with their tumbles. My wife keeps beach shells in her flower pots, I have a sneaking suspicion they will be replaced with tumbled agate eventually. Its nice to see the fun doesn't end after the tumble process!

I've yet to run into a problem finding something to do with them. The kids take all of them except the few agates that I find on the beach. I keep these in front of me at work. There is something about their complexity that is both amazing and relaxing.

mibeachrocks "There is something about their complexity that is both amazing and relaxing." Glad I'm not the only person who thinks that. These beach agates are truely something to be admired!
