Well i got my trim saw so i made some pre forums for when i get my caber... All is the cab worthy Alaskan material i have found.... Its hard to find cab worthy stuff like this.

That's gonna be a sweet jasper (?) cab, glennz01! Really like the others, too. What are they? Did you trim these with your tile saw? Very nice! Do you have any templates? Here's some printouts that Tony Terner added to the forum that you can print and use plastic lids and an exacto knife, or maybe trace them onto cardboard and cut them out, to make templates. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/29756/free-templates

I think those will make nice cabs! And because they are local and you collected them that makes them even better. I can tell you are chomping at the bit to get cabbing!

Yep, the brown stuff is agate with feldspar and something.. not sure. Also a piece of low quality jasper. I got a box of stuff in today and i'm not going to pre forum it until i get the templates made as the material is really nice.

did oyu slab them first on the tile saw then cut the pre-forms out? good jobbing

Thanks, My alaskan material i slabbed on my 16 inch saw then trimmed the shape out on the tile saw. The tile saw blades are very cheap so i'd rather trim as much as i can on that than on my grinder
