Here's this weeks lot-o bounty. All of these were trouble rocks that required a lot of attention. Anyone who has worked with rainbow pet wood knows how fractured and flawed it is and the lakers were too small to grind on or wear down so they are not flawless but dang do they shine. for those keeping track this batch was a quickie for stages 2-4 - one day is 120/220 2 days in 500 and 2 days in polish. (high pressure water cleaning between every stage due to pits) Lakers Pet wood Thanks for looking chuck

Those are awesome as usual. You keep turning out great stuff (I wanna be like you when I grow up!) There is a very deep red larger (agate?) to the extreme right in the top pic... could we see a closeup of that... looks like you could see all the way to its belly button. Another super batch!

Cool. Really great looking stones. I have some pet wood and some small lakers coming out in a week. Hope they compare favorably to yours...

Great shine on those. I couldn't get shine like that in two weeks in the vibe. Did you use the 50,000 super fine polish with these? I need to get some myself.

Great shine on those. I couldn't get shine like that in two weeks in the vibe. Did you use the 50,000 super fine polish with these? I need to get some myself. These were done with standard rockshed A/O polish. Rocks of this hardness do not require much to get a good shine. This batch did not have more then a hand full of ceramic filler. My only other advice is thoroughly cleaning at every stage. I wont go in depth about my whole process but I will say there is just about zero chance of cross contamination. This requires more work and more money since I have separate items for every stage. tumbler barrels, strainers, plastic bowls and measuring tools - 5 sets of everything. I can not tell you if any of that makes a difference but when I finish a batch I am confident that I did all I could. If they dont get shiny after all of that its the ROCKS fault, lol Chuck

Nice batch!...I have been tumbling a bunch of Brazillian agate slices...The filler has been AZ petwood chips..They are on their third run through all courses...(wood chips)...They get areal nice shine, then back to the trenches..LOL...John

I missed this batch. Nice one! You can't really go wrong with Lakers I guess.
I also use separate colanders, and spoons, but I only have two Lot-O barrels. I have one for polish and one for all the other stages. When did you start using all separate barrels?

I have one for polish and one for all the other stages. When did you start using all separate barrels? I bought a second loto and a couple extra barrels a while ago. I really never need both lotos so one is just a spare but now I never have to rinse my barrels so that saves some time. Hey now that I think about if I had two more lotos I could have rocks running is every stage at the same time. That would mean finishing a batch every two days. Chuck
