Looking good! well, here they are. I have stopped the tumbler for the present time, changing gears as cold weather approaches. That's kinda funny. Here in Florida, I'm just getting ready to start the tumblers back up. Don't tumble all summer as it's so hot in the garage and all the tumblers going just makes it worse. Now get those tumblers back in gear young lady!

Wait a second, I think I see the kitchen sink peeking out from under one of the rocks.

Rob, you could be right! CaptBob, wonder if the tumbler will run OK full of rocks when my garage gets to 10 below in the dead of winter? Bet I have to go easy on the water and use more plastic beads!

That was talked about last year. I think there was a problem with it. No basement, Snowmom?

snowmomI think you would be happy with a rotary tumbler barrel for the coarse grind. Your rocks are gorgeous. Later Brent

Rob, right, no basement for me and my rock tumbling. Starguy, that is on my wish list, being so new to the hobby and newly retired it will take a while to save up for the rotary, saw, lap, etc etc but slow and steady does it. I have learned so much in the few months the board has been tutoring me. I am satisfied with my progress and continue learning while figuring out a way to get the equipment to get me where I want to go. Love this board and the helpful answers and willing volunteers who have all given me so much input and support. So grateful!

That sure is a great variety. Too bad about having to turn off the tumbler for winter. I run mine all winter but dealing with the weekly clean outs is a real chore when the ground is frozen.

Make sure that before anything gets thrown back to start over that you pick a few of your very most favorites and put them aside- never to be messed with again - that way you can see the improvement from your very first batch as you progress and try different things. Awesome job for the first time out, keep plugging away!!
