This is fossil coral my wife found on the beach in Tampa Bay. I sliced a couple of the corals and shaped them with my Harbor Freight 7" wet saw. It was tumbled in the fine stage for 2 days then finished the polishing by hand. I would like to thank transcendental for providing me with great advice and tips on what materials to use. I'm sure with more practice I will accomplish a nice shine. This stuff is pretty soft around a 3 MOHS. I would like to make some jewelry and Bologna ties with it in the future. Thanks for looking!

You can't just leave without explaining what a bologna tie is. Nice job on the coral by the way.

The coral looks really nice, but we're all wondering about the bologna tie. You're keeping us in suspense.

Bolo tie maybe? My tablet likes to think it can read my mind and changes what I type, too.

He is pulling your neck ya know. lol Good job on polishing something that soft. I usually heat the stone and melt bee's wax into it but I have always been a cheater with soft stone of any kind. Jim
