I think you misunderstood. I got this in my email. "The change from Bill Me Later® to PayPal Credit is complete, and we have made enhancements to your PayPal Credit account. In addition to changing the name, we have improved your servicing experience by integrating PayPal Credit into your PayPal account. This way you can track your purchases and payments all in one place, with only one login to remember". Paypal has made a small change to their name. Shouldn't effect dealings with Ebay.

Shotgunner, that was funny as hell. Gonna have to learn how that's done when I have 5 minutes to spare.

The change will be financial - not functional. They will still be associated functionally. It will still remain preferred ebay payment system. But you will be able to buy stock in PayPal separate from stock in ebay.
The new PayPal company may explore broader online payment platforms - maybe even some connection to Apple wallet.

Thats right. Paypal is a sidekick of ebay and because ebay has come across a larger competition on the world market financial growth has slowed, so in order for more of the grab, it must branch out the sidekick for a bigger piece of the pie.

I thought the reference was HAL 9000
HAL 9000: "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that"

Free laughter. What a deal.
HAL 9000 was actually an IBM reference. Each letter is just letter lower. I had always heard this rumor, but it could have been coincidence. But in the late 80's I met Arther C Clark in Sri Lanka and he said it was true.

First couple of minutes reveals how man first learned to bust rocks for the tumbler. Wiki: In a 1974 taped interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the interviewer asked Clarke how he believed the computer would change the future for the everyday person, and what life would be like around the year 2001. Clarke accurately predicted many things that became reality, including online banking, online shopping, and other now commonplace things. Responding to a question about how the interviewer's son's life would be different, Clarke responded: "[H]e will have, in his own house, not a computer as big as this, [points to nearby computer], but at least, a console through which he can talk, through his local computer and get all the information he needs, for his everyday life, like his bank statements, his theatre reservations, all the information you need in the course of living in our complex modern society, this will be in a compact form in his own house ... and he will take it as much for granted as we take the telephone."
