Hello all. Finally finished my recent tumbles/re-tumbles Pictures 1-3 are the progression of Cumbrian flints that I re-tumbled several times. Picture 4 is Scurdie Ness Scottish quartz. Oh the "frosting". But mineral oil does a nice cosmetic "fix". Picture 5 is a melange of jaspers, chert, and Pinole Point brown chalcedony.

Look great, Henry, and nice shine! The 4th one pictured looks like an egg.

what a difference from start to finish! Lots of patience exercised here. Love the Scurdie Ness and the jaspers, looks like you have some brecchiated ones in there, and some so complex with the differing colors. Those Greens call to me especially...

Nice stuff. Like the flint and I'm with snowmom on the greens, my current favorite rock color. Good to know I'm not the only one who re-tumbles.

snowmom and tkvancil. Thanks! You folks really need to visit the beaches of Northern San Luis Obispo County, California (San simeon, San Corpoforo Beach, Ragged Point Beach etc.) You will find some of the most stunning blue-green, translucent chert out there! Not to mention psychedelic-looking jaspers....

Truly the rock hounding on Ca beaches is something I have fantasies about. So nice we can share each other's finds and adventures on the boards here. I may never set foot in Ca, but I can see and learn through the photos and information sharing here. Grateful for that opportunity. Keep posting Henry!
