Did one box of gold bearing pay dirt from a guy in Alaska, that sells the dirt online..(Virgin gold bearing pay dirt..) www.goldpan-alaska.comI had great luck with the results.... Ordered another box from John and started classifying the gravel from the dirt yesterday... This is from the washings of the rock (gravels),haven't gotten into the dirt yet..LOL

Not bad! If we guess the weight, do we get to have it?

I just took a look at the site and it looks like the 25lb med flat rate box is now $50 instead of $100. That looks like a fun project to do with the kids. What equipment do you need? Can I get by with just a pan?

I did it with just a pan.......I also classify the big rocks and gravel(washing them in a bucket too),a lesson my Uncle Henry taught me years ago... I also pan in a tub, than repan the dirt I pan the 1st go around...Get the flakes I missed from before.... John is easy to deal with too.....

Just ordered a box yesterday. Have to get a pan somewhere. Any recommendations? Amazon.com has great sales,I like the 12" green pans.....Scrub it with gravel before your 1st pan.... Takes the shine and slickness away....Thumbs up
