Nice death plate. Lots of variety in that piece. Wife kept telling me some were agatized. I didn't believe it until I broke one that was almost totally red and shells all over. Sure enough looked like agate inside. Besides looking at it, is there anything I can do with this?

Put it on a shelf? Inside or on a patio? Lots of people enjoy looking at that kind of stuff.

Nice! I find stuff like that around here, but it's all gray and boring. I like the color in yours.

Nice find, lots of variety. I'd pack that one quite a ways if necessary.

A smaller one all wet. It looks like it's layers of rock and shell I couldn't get a good pic of the hole on the side that showcases more red shell inside

I think he means if he found it far afield, he would still "pack it" all the way to his truck. Meaning it is worth the effort to him to do so.
I like that one. If it was nice inside I might still cut it! lol

Did you find those in kentucky ? Fine fossils. Yes I did. There was an even bigger rock that had even more fossils, but I wasn't willing to lug it back to the vehicle as it was probably 100lbs or so.

Lots of limestone in that state. Mammoth cave tells it. Great haul. I am still hoping to find a fossilized and intact shrimp, crab, trilobite, or big leaf. The shells are pretty mainly because they're red and the second piece they're red even when not wet.

Great find. I wonder if you could polish one of the shells by hand or w/ a dremil?
