I wouldn't recommend cooking the thing, just getting a warmish breeze blowing over it to gradually bring it up to temp and the "wind" would aid in quick evaporation of any condensation.

Here is the box. Hubby just built it last night so there is no fresh silica gel or reptile heating pad added just yet. Not sure where our heating pad is at the moment...just a bad cell phone photo but at least it shows off the all-clear box with the tabs that maximize visibility of the specimen

Looks good in the box, peachfront, and glad you were able to rescue the specimen! Is that a polyhedroid in your pic??

Dang girl, your husband does nice work. That should keep it safe.
I've got a couple of those plant starting heating pads draped over my hot rods engine to prevent freezing in my unheated garage. So far they're doing a good job.
