Huge Thank You to Jugglerguy for cutting this rock! I hope your saw is OK. Rob went out to check the saw at one point and it was foaming and frothing! Here are photos as requested. The first one shows the end and a slab wet. the second photo shows penciled circles around the most interesting feature of this rock. tiny metallic looking silver colored flecks. The matrix seems to be at least partially translucent but smoky and the recgonizable crystals can be seen layered randomly, appearing to be olivine- from peacock green to olive color, something in very thin flakes like mica seemingly with no color but a lot of 'schiller'. Some slender light colored crystals (sagenite?) and some sort of lavender colored rock. Maybe a feldspar? There is an interesting gold colored area near the center of the rock. Sending this one to the jury. What's the verdict?

further update: It leaves a smoky greenish streak, steel knife doesn't scratch it but glass seems to leave a very superficial scratch if I press real hard. I tried to break a piece from the mother rock and ended up smashing a couple of dents in it which left a whitish powder. Finally managed to get an edge to break, the stuff shattered and did not leave an intact piece. the edge where I broke it was crumbly looking and not conchoidal. photo here:

i believe the purple is from the light play through the plagioclase where the pyroxene is underneath .
