ROFL, jamesp!! Would be neat if there was something that you could fracture the coral when you shoot the bucket and cook the coral at the same time. Maybe place the bucket in one of your firepits. Just kiddin' with you... if you do put a piece of coral in a fire pit or a camp fire, strange cartoon like ricochet sounds begin. Best to evacuate quickly. it splits in an exponential binary fashion 2 4 16 256 .......Each piece splits about in half, same principle as a nuclear reaction. Aggravates those sitting around the fire in a big hurry.

Rig up a remote trigger pull to save your shoulder... I have a working repro brown bess (Pedersoli) that I spent alot of time thinking what could I legally shoot out of the barrel without maiming myself... I talked to one of the makers of those one oz. .999 Silver 45cal bullet ingots and suggested he make .999 silver reproductions of CW minie balls of various calibers... Im in Houston Tx, close enough to good petrified wood and agates:)

On a more sane thought... I always wanted to semi-automate the flint knapping art by building an adjustible leather-lined vice that you could quick release... It would have a notch in an area designated to place a prepared platform of the stone where you could have a heavy copper-tipped billet strike... I was thinking something foot controlled like a bass drum pedal to strike the stone with...

Thought about a rubber band propelled striker in a guide ? controlled sling shot....

The coral is beautiful, no matter how you cut, er... break, it.
