Thanks, It does look a lot like the wood you all collect. That is from Anatolia or that is what its called? When the opportunity arises " warm weather and a day off work" I'll cut open that stick agate and show you.

The stick agate may be full of surprises spirit, hard to tell what might be in that one. Looking forward to seeing it sawn. Same deal with the wood....it may be a bigger surprise. Turkey, a long ways away.

Old post with an update. Managed to cut the Turkish agate but not the wood, this is how it turned out, and pleased with the results. The halves were still a bit oily, so excuse the paper towel in hand.
