I haven't been too active on the boards lately. Work has kept me hopping and I have spent most of my spare time working on projects around the house. My "rock" time has been tearing down all my equipment and servicing it. I finally got everything cleaned, the worn parts replaced, and everything running again. I wanted to start the year off with something nice. A good friend gave me a 16"x6" Luna agate slab last year. I knew immediately where I wanted to make the first cab from it. The cab is 51mm x 52mm x 5mm (2"x2") and has a really shallow dome. My hat is sincerely off to those of you who regularly do these large cabs, by hand, on 4" & 6" flex wheels. I took off 1.1mm from center to edges and wasn't sure I would ever get it evenly polished. Front Side/edge When it was finally done, and this damn thing took a longggg time, I had a nice surprise. Not only did it come out pretty decent, it has small druze pockets, and a parallax effect in the banding. Very cool stone. Anyway, sorry for rambling. I liked this one and it was a beat-down to finish lol Thanks for looking;and, I hope the new year is starting well for everyone

Great comeback! That is a really sweet cab. Those difficult ones are always that much more awesome. Great job!

Very obvious that lots of thought, time and effort went into that cab. Very, very nice!

Stunning; it pulls your attention into the center of the stone. You could charm mean dogs with something that tranquilizing. Tom
