People are probably drunk and violent because they read about people living where things are green right now. If it doesn't warm up soon, I'm going to be drunk and violent.
Sorry, couldn't resist!

While we ain't Alaska or Michigan or anything we ARE breaking records... for us. It's been flat out COLD here in Hampton Roads!!!!! Tonight, here in Virginia Beach, you know, the South, it is supposed to be 11 F. I am officially OVER IT! School has been out for a full week and DH has been out of work for 2 days.

Typical South Dakota weather today. 10:30 AM and - 9 degrees with - 28 wind chill. Not supposed to get above 0 today. Monday & Tuesday we're supposed to be in the low 30's. Then dropping again to the single digits. Winter is a roller coaster ride in the Dakotas.

We dont have weather. Just comfort.
Today is much if the same 59f right now. I'm seeing clients in 3button collar shirts. I'd wear shorts but home depot dress code says no.
Come on captbob!! No heater. Wear a sweatshirt to bed!!

-14 in Cleveland tonight. I remember back in high school (30 years ago - in Schaumburg NW of Chicago) one night getting down to -30 actual with -70 wind chill. All the electrical outlets on the windward side of the house looked badly in need of defrosting. I exaggerated just a little bit (but I was right on about the 30 years) - coldest official temperature for Chicago on January 20th 1985 was -27F. Coldest I've ever experienced...

Early spring up here in Aberdeen, SD. Got up to 72 yesterday. Probably the same today. But this is South Dakota. We could still have a blizzard in the next month or 2.

As my last comment on different weather issues in our states....It's been five years now since I have dealt with or even seen snow or below zero temps..!!! Guess what I don't miss it at all!!! Wife wanted to visit our kids in ND this last winter,I told her bye bye,not this old man-wait for summer or fall, than I will go..
