That makes a little bit of sense. The basalt cliffs of the Bay of Fundy formed from repeated lava flows and contain copper that was moved up and down the Appalachian Trail by the Indians long before the Pilgrims landed. The adjacent sedimentary fossil bearing rock contains none. Unfortunately, we do not have all those pretty blue and green secondary copper minerals like azurite, malachite and chrysocolla.
