The other day it was in the 70's, today it is spitting snow. It's hard to find good cabbing time, but I squeezed some in here and there. The following are some of what I have gotten done since like Oct, I think. I tried to post this before but the page crashed after a ton of work on it so I gave up. Some of these are from RTH members. I keep stuff in their boxes so I'll remember where I got what, but once they are preformed and in the cue, all dopped up, I forget what is what. Getting old. Can't remember a thing. I had to take quick shots indoors. No sun for days. Sorry for the quality of pictures. Big gem bone oj tabu tabu oj amy sage - better in person ballarat marble - love this stuff! from a box of misc slabs from deserthound Didn't see how wonky it was until I took the picture. Great picture in this, though. Thulite from Andy bsky4463, I think rosalinda or cinnamonstone primavera- reworked freebie from the awesome 49erminerals at etsy mookaite bull canyon moss/tube pacific coast picasso super pet wood- much nicer than picture- from bsky4463 Andy, I think. More pacific coast picasso - I love this stuff but it is frought with hidden fractures. This is from a chip. Namibia blue agate Tabu Tabu rhodo from a chip of junk gem bone leopardskin mystery from braders, I think- or maybe deb193redux Daniel. It is really black with what looks like blue opal in it. It almost seems like bone with opal replacement, but I guess it would be wood. Dunno. But in person it's really nice and 2 opal bits are multicolored, like gem, though very small. This was all I had of it. more amy sage spiderweb imperial jasper a scrap of royal aztec lace agate. Much better in person. This is a freeform utilizing every bit that I could. gem Blue ice polka dot agate If you have made it this far, thanks for looking!!!

that's a lotta fine dop'n & lop'n tell us more about the ballarat marble that spiderweb rocks is it translucent or opaque? Howdy Mr. Ed The ballarat is from CA, I believe. I only have seen one seller with it. The color is kinda yellow orange salmony with black. Very nice. It cabs really easy... just like marble. The spiderweb does have a few translucent lines, but it is opaque... mostly. Wish I had more, but this little piece was all I had.

Awesome variety of materials and great cabs. I think I might like that polka dot the best.

I love freeforms! Many great cabs there, but I think the Amy Sage wins! Every cab there I was picturing in my mind what design I would do for the silver

Tela, how hard is this stone? @shotgunner PCP is such a variety in composition. In general, it is semi hard- maybe a little harder than marble, less than jasper, but it has some softer materials and can undercut. However, every slab is different, it seems. First slab I had, it was very hard and solid. Second and third slabs broke apart while preforming. It is hard to find and where I got it it was quite expensive. I got some nice slabs, but I doubt I'll get more- just because of the cost and not for lack of beauty. I absolutely love it!

Oh... Thanks. Maybe magnesite. Or just a rock. I can think of a way you might someday have more to work with!

Wow, gorgeous cabs, all of them. Thanks Scott for the tag, really cool material and it does look a bit like Picasso Marble from Utah. Tela, you do wonderful work and the variety of materials is impressive.
