I shut down the Stone Canyon barrels somewhere back like April or May - got bored with tumbling and busy with other (house/yard related) projects. Will start them back up when it cools down a bit, probably mid to late September. They were shaping up nicely, probably the largest stones I have tried to date - and I like to tumble large stones. I did waste a lot of time with them by going too long between grit reloads. Looking forward to finishing them up this upcoming tumbling season. Stone Canyon is one of my favorites. Got a couple hundred + pounds of that stuff now.

I am glad this thread resurfaced! Those are some shiny rocks. Lovely color and pattern too! Congrats on getting your system down (although you may deny you have one).

These are awesome Bob! Very, very impressive and beautiful - esp for rotary only. I hope to match something like this and I'm gonna cheat with the lot-o lol!

You give me hope with the batch I have run for 2 months in rotary. Beautiful job and thank you for your "recipe" help. I currently make beautiful unintentional matte finish obsidian, have vowed they will be shiny or slivers before I am done with them.
