Awesome,was that Dickinson,ND Museum? Been there several times-Also like the Deer Lodge,MT old prison..LOL (one of my Uncles spent some time there in the 60's).. Looks like a great road trip and can't wait for more photos,especially of the rocks and such....Thumbs up

That was indeed the Dickinson museum. The prison will on the ground in ten years the way it is being taken care of.

I'm sure the state signed the prison off to the town-Deer Lodge probably hasn't the funding to keep that place up,like it should be... Did you make it to Philipsburg too? Great hounding area...

I went through Philipsburg. It was raining hard.
I did Yellow Water last year in a typhoon, not doing that again.

So, your "budget" shoes that were new in Quartzsite finally crapped out. I couldn't believe they were not more than a couple days old then, and already looked the way they did! Didja get a better pair this time? And how are your tires holding up? Went through about half of your trip pics already, will get to the second half soon. But what I wanna know is, where is the report?? You know, like John herchenx does? Or Tommy?

I went through Philipsburg. It was raining hard. I did Yellow Water last year in a typhoon, not doing that again. I hunted and fished Yellow Water,having lived in Roundup (home town)...Never had much luck on fossils there,but those rattle snakes sure got huge!!!!!!!!!!

There were a lot of fossils. Kind of like a low value turtella, but the real appeal is the alleged large ammonites.

There were a lot of fossils. Kind of like a low value turtella, but the real appeal is the alleged large ammonites. The ammonites are rare and hard to find anymore in that area,but a great score if you find one....My good friend in Roundup has serveral-he found in the early 80's...
