Not a Fairburn Mike. Looks like it might be some of the material they find down around Ms. La. areas in river gravel.

I have been telling them,it's not Fairburn,but they keep arguing that the seller was sure it was-I told them some sellers lie....LOL

Whoever the seller was wouldn't know a Fairburn if it walked up & bit him in the @ss. I suppose there's a chance that it could be one of those sold as "Fairburn area agate". Nothing but a prairie agate found by the truck loads in the same general area as real Fairburns. I've seen bunches listed as Fairburn area agates. Those not in the know will buy them, thinking they've gotten a real Fairburn at a bargain price.

I finally convinced them that it wasn't a Fairburn!!! They pulled it off the site....LOL

Hey Mike, they could safely list it as a South Dakota prairie agate, as long as they're being honest by telling potential buyers that it isn't a Fairburn. Nothing will kill sales quicker than being caught selling something for what it isn't. Tell them to check the Rock Shed listing of prairie agates, to see what they're selling for.
