Nice looking slab! Gonna be tough to pinpoint the origin as there are several locations with similar material. My guess is going to be Cady Mountains area - until Mel Sabre52 comes along and says: Nope, that's from ______________ ya big dummy! ETA: Problem is comparable moss can be found from the Maury Mountains (and maybe even further north than that) all the way down into Mexico.

Bob's correct in his comments. Similar moss can come from a large number of sites. I'm thinking Maury Mtn but it could just as easily come from the Cady's or a dozen other areas...Mel

Yeah, the list is long. Horse Canyon, Cadys, Maury Mtns and other Oregon and Washington places, Pipeline Canyon, Rio Grande, Woodward area, Big Diggins, Lavic, Numerous AZ, NV, Utah, Wyoming locations and a whopping list of Mexican ones from northern Mexico to Durango. Moss agate is pretty widespread throughout western north America..Mel
