That is one impressive pudding stone you got on the two wheeler there!
And that boulder that Billy is leaning against ... holy cow! I think yer gonna need a bigger truck. The quarry looks like a good place to pitch a tent and spend a few days.
Thanks for sharing the pics.

That pudding stone is not only big, it's packed with jasper. Are you going to make one huge sphere or several small ones?

I can't even imagine what an 8 to 10 inch pudding stone sphere would be worth! Looks like he can make a big one AND some smalls.
Please keep me in mind Jim when you are ready to part with the leftovers!

Maybe when I get another core drill and sphere machine running big enough to handle it, I'll sphere it. But for now it will be a landscape rock. The quarry was cool and had lots of iron stone but if they are left to bake in the sun most of them crumble. They were different than the ones I find at the beach.

Just seen this post and didn't see me sitting by a big pudding stone, guess I broke the pic. I just got laid off from work and cleaned my garage. I have six pails of lightning stones but too cold to do anything. Mr Jim was a gracious host and gave me his collecting site on the big lake. His work and specimens are too cool and I really enjoyed the time we spent. Thanks for a great time Mr Jim and be looking for my pics of the big stone when I tackle it.
