Had to coarse grind these in thick clay slurry. Some pieces heavy and thick, some thin and delicate. This one heavy and thick This one heavy and thick Then this one very thin. complicated shape. I think it stayed intact during the whole process. Was proud. the back sides not so attractive

Those are beautiful! I have always thought of polishing, as getting every surface. I really appreciate your posts.....they have changed my outlook and will prevent me from ruining pieces, to polish the whole thing!

Just use fillers or thickeners if the rocks are fragile. thanks for the compliments. Love those yeas gravels of yours.

Thank you! I love the stuff I am finding, but those Gravel Bars are way too convenient! I keep finding better stuff and end up taking rocks out of the tumbler prematurely, to put the new better stuff in! My clean-outs are exciting, but I can't move past the rough stage. I guess if I stopped going to the gravel bars, I would eventually run out of new material......(NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!) So, when I grow up, I will have enough equipment to tumble & finish everything I am finding. In the mean time, I will eye your finished rocks and those that post photos of the rocks, that I have sent out. Thank you for sharing!!!

Keep going to the gravel bars ! You can stash the rocks in a corner of a relatives yard till you get what you need to process them. You may find a large used tumbler for a deal and go from there. save the stuff you keep pulling out and come back to it later. Got half tumbled rocks all over the place. Same problem txrockhunter. Either way you are finding some real trophies.

I will pay to get a few of them back, just so I can see what good is supposed to look like. I will send some extras, for your inventory. Many of them are somewhat rounded, but some of them need to be opened. I have cut a bunch of them, so I can send some of those as well.
Just let me know if you are interested.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Thanks, Jeremy Send me what you want me to tumble Jeremy. I will return them. Got tumbled rocks coming out my ears. Be glad to. i think I am heading back down to S. Texas/Rio Grande this winter. My fav spot on earth to hound. I would like to see how the Houston area rocks compare. I stay in Zapata. Have access to several properties.
